With a style that invokes the great epics, LiVecchi tells a great fantasy revenge story. The writing is incredibly strong, there’s a lot of personality in how it’s written, and it’s topped off by excellent battle scenes. It’s a work that races by, but is quite satisfying and promises a lot more to come. A very enjoyable read.

This novella is a great first look at an intriguing fantasy world drawing from Greek, Nordic and Celtic mythos. In an earnest attempt to create a new world and new ideas in the already well worn space of fantasy literature, the narrative gives a fresh perspective on what fantasy, even fantasy set in medieval (or rather pre-medieval) England, can be. Also, the book is eminently readable and I enjoyed the characters and setting, so if you're into fantasy as a genre this is a solid entry for you.
